I spent the month of February on Marco Island in SW Florida.  In addition to the warmth and sunshine (so different from Wisconsin's arctic blast this winter), I was bombarded by the colors of tropical Florida's natural beauty. The photos in this blog are a sampler of sights captured.  I've only been home for a week and hope to organize my Florida folders of daily shots so that I can make more thematic posts in the near future. In the meantime, I hope that you've enjoyed the eclectic selection of Florida images and will stop by again to check out what will come next.

Thank you for visiting. As always, your comments are greatly appreciated.

Wisconsin:Sheboygan Riverfront on a Gray Day

The riverfront was good for a later November day. While the sun was hidden, there was no wind and the temperature was moderate. It was possible to capture to capture reflections on the quietly flowing river as it made its way to Lake Michigan.  Not a bad photowalk.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope that you felt it worth your while and will come back again sometime.

Walking The Streets of Philadelphia

Philly is one of the most walkable American cities that I have ever been in. Interesting neighborhoods, friendly people, murals and other artistic splashes everywhere...all in a safe environment-who could ask for more?!?  The shots here are some of my favorites from this trip, perhaps more to follow in another post.

Thanks for visiting.  Please feel free to stop by again.

Halloween in the Campgrounds II

Every year campers flock to Kohler-Andrae State Park near Sheboygan,Wisconsin to celebrate Halloween. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and their willingness to share make it a pleasure to wander through the campgrounds and interact with them.  Here is just a sample of what our eyes feasted upon. In fact, there were so many good displays that I've broken the collection into two posts. This is the second installment.  I hope that you enjoy  both Halloween in the Campgrounds I & II.

BTW- I found the zombie Barbie photos in the last two photos both creative and a bit  bizarre.  I tried to show the scope of the display through a panoramic shot and the detail through a close-up.  What an amazing amount of work to put into something like this!  I'd be interested in any reactions that you might have.
